2000-2002: Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, Berkeley, CA.
President.
Chief officer of an active lay-led congregation of 100 members with an annual budget of $100K. Prepared and chaired board meetings monthly; chaired two all-congregational meetings per year; researched, organized, planned, and administered community changes; wrote monthly newsletter article as community outreach; oversaw committee function and facilitated communication when needed; oversaw legal and financial contracts; supervised staff and (office and janitorial); ministered to community issues; and represented the Fellowship on public occasions.
1999 - 2001: Mercy Retirement & Care Center, Oakland, CA.
Activities Coordinator.
Member of an organized team of activities staff serving a population of 120 adults, providing appropriate in-house activities for a wide range of levels from highly active to dementia unit to low response sensory needs. Led quality of life events, including classes in exersize, Tai Chi, african violet care, music therapy, current events, etc.; helped host monthly birthday parties and holiday celebrations with outside entertainment and refreshments; accompanied groups on outings (restaurants, ball games, etc.)
